If only they would let keep one if you grab it while the scorpions are in there.

sand works quite well actually..
Sand is not in any way ideal for a P. imperator.
Please do a quick search for "substrate" and "Emperor" and you will get some good suggestions.;)

Sand could work if it constantly drenched and not let to dry at all.

Might as point out, peat works better IMO.

That person also keeps tarantulas on sand :embarrassed: but lets not start another massive thread. Many stores like that just want scorps and Ts for the shock value. Kinda sad really.

I just watched the video and it looked to me that there was no sand inside the display tank. it looked like tan coloured felt to match the display stands the rings were on. i know the jewelery dude said the display started out with a southwest theme, sand turquoise and silver, so scorps were the next step... but look close no sand, or i might be too old to see the sand in the video
