Ive recently acquired an Emp sling which is believed to be in 3i-4i.
But my friend told me that it was H.Longimanus so im really confused.
How can you tell that difference between the two when theyre still scorplings?

What I am trying to say is that if your friend can determine a instar 3-4 on species level, he has supernatural powers or something, cause this can't be done. Maybe experts could determine on genuslevel, but specieslevel, impossible because juveniles of many species, do not share the same taxonomical characters as adults ;)

If you were told it's an emp by the seller, I think it probably is, they are more common that Heterometrus in the hobby. It would be odd that somebody had a scorpion that had babies for all that time that made it and didn't know the difference between and P. imperator and a Heterometrus, but you never know lol.

"Guessing" and "odds" are two words that do not combine well with identifying scorpions, LOL :D

well yeah my friend has a h.longi and their scorplings really look the same.:)

well i might as well wait for it to grow...:)

how long would a 3i emp take to molt?

its really fat now and the spaces between the lines on its body are quite thick.

as of yesterday night, it still ate the lat nymph i gave it.

i gave it another one but its been 24hours and its not touching it...:(

btw i give it food when i see that it has already eaten the previous one :?
