Eggs With Legs!

i decided to pull the curly hair sac(been around 20-21 days for them) and this is what i found.

looks like ryan(talkenlate04) was right about how many eggs this sp. has..there are HUNDREDS of eggs in this sac.

they are curently still in the sac in a kritter keeper turned incubator.

on a sad note..i found my S. rubronitens sac in my females water dish last night, she ate it. i was going to pull it today(25 days i believe)..i opened up the remains and found two very dead babies inside..:(

egg sack

i am new to the hobby is it necessary to take the egg sack away to incubate.

No, some species are more prone to eating the sac than others. Some Ts are very good mothers. Many Avicularia sp. have been known to feed their babies, I think some Pokies do this also and H. incei do this.

Some times it varies from T to T also. You may have two females of the same species and one will eat the sac and one won't. It really is hard to say until you try.
