November is pretty late for them. I found mine back at the beginning of September - and they've already died by now, though I'm hoping they left some eggs behind in their substrate. Still, it's not totally impossible to find a late one. This one: http://bugguide.net/node/view/255693 was found in early November.
When I was hunting for them in Payson on Labor Day weekend, I just hit a few well-lit parking lots and wandered around. I also found some on tree trunks in the ornamental plantings around the parking lots.
