Hmmm...now that I look at it...could be a female Erythemis simplicicollis since the males have a more greenish hue on their 1st abdominal segement and on their antehumeral region/stripe, females are more blueish in those areas I believe, like the one in your picture.

The puzzle, however, is that is was a relatively large specimen, and only the males and immature females keep the blue on the tail, if im not wrong?

Immature females have a black tail (abdominal segments 7-10) and also abdominal segments 3 and 5 I believe are rather dark, the rest is green.

Males are mostly blue but have green on their 1st couple of segments which slowly fades.

must be male, since all the adult fems Erythemis ive seen here that size have a real dark green tail. Who can really say though..
