If you keep or have kept domino roaches, what humidity do you use?

Actually.....Therea petivariana prefer it on the dry side.
I provide a water dish and mist once a week. Lightly.
Molds become an issue and this sp. does not appreciate high humidity.
Do LOTS more research on these. They are unusual in the cockroaches; regarding their care. They are very valuable and it pays to know what you're doing in the long term. They take a very long time to mature. If you want to end up with a healthy and viable breeding colony ~ you owe it to yourself to learn the facts about these guys.

I was keeping them dryer, but wanted to make sure that was right.

Where are you doing your research on them? I'm having trouble finding any information out there.

They are Therea grangeani. Not domino roaches.
Actually those are NOT Therea grangeani. According to the blattodea species file that species is not known. Also, the spelling is Therea sp. "grandjeani"
I know Matt knows the difference he was just showing that example since they are reared the same. Dry is relative but if they are kept without available moisture they will die.

I am so stupid.:wall:
I didn't realize that Matt KNEW he was posting a picture of a species that isn't a Domino roach in a Domino roach thread. Thanks for correcting my spelling. I wouldn't want anyone to get misinformed.

Yes I knew, but since I did not have a ready photo of my dominos and did of these, that is what I used because they are both Therea sp., which is what the point about care the poster "Rochelle" was trying to make, and anyone with any clue would have understood that. This genus has its own requirements that are debated in this thread.

I keep both Therea sp. damp and they do fine, which was my point. Splitting hairs on Therea species and thier related care is like saying black people and white people need different care to survive- which is obviously not the case.
