Adult Chinese Praying Mantis (Tenodera sinensis).


She's got brown on her abdomen. Is that normal, or.. what.. I don't know.

I fed her a Stink bug earlier, and then a few hours latter, I gave her a 3/4" Dubia. She didn't seem like she wanted to eat another one.. Usually she eats about 2 - 3 of them.

That's normal. It stretches as the abdomen fills with food.

That is normal thing with mantids. It's like an expandable tank for fuel. She might be fattening up to get ready to lay an egg case.

Are those not bad to use as feeders?
