Here's a picture of our girl, pictures don't do her justice - she's stunning:

They remind me of a cross between an RCF rosea, an emilia and a seemanni. She's really chill too.

Here is a link to what scopulae is.

Except it will be on the metatarsus...

So in other words, looking at the tarantula from a top view, the 2nd leg "segment" going from the bottom up will be enlarged. The big "pad" looking thing is the enlarged scopulae, they are used for good traction while climbing. A better description can be found here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scopulae

that's the best way I can explain it right off the top of my head. It would be also important to note that to most people, it's easier to determine scopulae size by a bottom (or underneath) view of the tarantula.
That was awesome. Thank you for that.

I did go search through your entire picture thread for her the other day. She is gorgeous. Thanks for posting it here as well :)

I believe I may have a concepcion?

Hello
I am new to the hobby... love this T I got 2 weeks ago-
I have been trying to figure out what he/she is.
The shop sold him as a GOLDEN FUR (twice the price of what they were selling Rose Hairs)
The only think close to Golden Fur I read about is Golden Fluff (G. Maule)
But now someone said he looks like a CONCEPCION..
Here are some pics, any thoughts, or ways I can investigate further?
He is quite active, and quite the climber!
