docile "defensive" T's.

ok so i have a very docile obt. i've heard that these guys are really defensive but i;ve never seen a threat pose from this one. she may just be old though, do they tend to get calmer as they age? she's 5"+ also, my h. lividum [4" female] isn't very defensive at all..i thought these were species that will go into threat pose if you open the tank..yet i have handled both without a peep. :? is this a couple weird spiders? or is my understanding of "defensive old world T's" off?
has anyone else had "defensive" species be docile?? sorry if this has been posted before i did the search and didn't find anything
