Do you quarantine your crickets?

Right now I have one scorpion, and some birds, so i do not have any need for a ton of crickets (that breeding would bring). I buy them from the local pet store. When i get them i keep them in a small container set up to keep them alive for a few weeks. I usually buy 6 small ones. feed about 4 to the scorp in 2 weeks. Then i have to resupply. When doing this, should i be keeping them for a certain amount of time before feeding them to him to determine if they have ingested anything that may be carried to my scorp? what about any parasites?
Thanks for any input.

I don't do anything elaborate with my crickets, but I do look them over well. Some folks here speak of "the sickly crickets" being sold, but this has been the exceedingly rare exception for me. So long as they're not "wet," possessing an overly dank/yeasty, or otherwise uncharacteristic odor, & aren't leaving residue on the bag, they're probably just fine. In my opinion.

The cricket virus is just a cricket virus. It doesn't affect non-crickets.
That gave me a chuckle. The virus, singular. When there could be dozens of pathogens, precursors, opportunists, transients etc., and we all know all too well how viruses and bacteria are continuously mutating.

I sometimes do the same thing and buy crickets every other week. Just house them well, feed and water the crickets an appropriate diet and all will be ok.

No but I use banded crickets. They last longer.

so this current batch I bought, this time I asked for 6 small crickets, and the guy gave me 10. So far my scorpion ate 2, the other 7 died during the 4 days between feeding and now one is left. Should I avoid feeding him to my scorpion now? Is this something alarming or is this what its like buying feeder crickets from a pet store? little worried as he already ate 2 earlier on when i first got them last week.
