I'm going to California next week and will be staying on the coast. I was wondering if there are any tarantulas or other inverts that I will be able to observe.
All answers are greatly appreciatted,
Billy

Yes, lots of bugs can be found in Laguna Beach, if you look. Tarantulas? In all the years I have been hunting in SoCal I have found one around Laguna. So your chances of finding one of those are probably not very good... they are there though.

All I have been seeing lately and I was in Laguna walking not even a week ago is: Anuroctonus pococki, red Stenopelmatus, lots of Batrachoseps(slender salamanders), jumping spiders, Latrodectus/Steatoda, and sea slaters near the actual beach.

There are some very cool spiders in the Laguna Beach area that build tube webs but... these are in a sensitive locality and are a sensitive species and I hope you dont bother them, if you come across them.
