Dirt from outside for substrate?

Hey guys, ive been searching this but came up with very little.

My question is can you use dirt from outside for substrate for an emperor scorpion?

more specifically a 50/50 mix with coconut fiber?

What are pros and cons to this?

It may contain harmful chemicals or bacteria/parisites, but if you wash it then bake it, it should be fine. I have used sand from the beach before. I haven't done it in awhile now so someone else might say I am completely wrong or they may agree. But I would ad use against just grabbing some dirt and throwing it in a tank with some inverts.
