My scorp won’t burrow for some reason.. I was told that dictators are burrowers. Thoughts??
Had her/him since April and haven’t once seen it burrow. Substrate is loose and all.Pic of enclosure
That sub looks bone dry. No chance of a scorpion making a burrow in that if it is.
I wet it twice a day with water in a spray bottle should I be misting it more or doing something different??Emps and related species will burrow in a substrate maintained moist but not wet or damp.
I always keep my substrates dark and moist for Emps and relatives.
Do you use a heat lamp that dries substrate like nothing else?I wet it twice a day with water in a spray bottle should I be misting it more or doing something different??
I will definitely try that ASAP thank youuuuuDo you use a heat lamp that dries substrate like nothing else?
I would fill a cup of water and SLOWLY distribute it over the top layer of the substrate, rinse and repeat if necessary. Avoid creating a flood by pouring too fast as you pour it let the water soak down into substrate.
