Hello everybody.
I would like to buy me a new millipede (Dendrostreptus Macracanthus). I have already an A. Gigas and I was wondering if they can live together in the same tank. Any clue? Thank you!

I have both species together atm. They don't seem to mind. They eat together every now and again.

Wrong sub-forum, the correct one would be the Myriapods sub-forum.

Anyway, yes, they can live together. Most round millipedes (i.e spirostreptids, spirobolids, and julids) can be kept together without issue so long as their basic care requirements are met.
How is your A. gigas doing?

Hope this helps,

I can also confirm that these two species can cohabitate safely - I've got an adult A. gigas and a sub-adult D. macracanthus together with a few other species of round millipede, and they do just fine :)

Finally my Dendroatreptus Macranthus arrived and I put it in the same tank with the A. Gigas.
Everything was going fine and they were eating together when I spotted my Gigas sort of headbutting the D. Macranthus, stealing his food and then the machrantus crawled back, going underground.
Maybe I misunderstood I just hope the Gigas won't hurt the new comer!

@Arthroverts, he's fine thank you ^_^
