I think size may be a factor in this. Her instincts says that there is a healthy male near, and that gains her interest. But the fact that he's much larger probably leads her to think she is in possible danger. If the situation was reversed, I'm betting they'd have mated already.

The "shark tank" thing sounds like a good idea. At least try to get her used to his presence and hopefully she'll feel less endangered if he can't chase her.

I'm interested to find out how this turns out.

So I've been setting up dates every 72hrs or so...
I get the same kind of behavior...
slight drumming and chasing each other around, that lasts 10-30 minutes... and then just simply co-existing and her running away or bugging out with any real approaches.
after about 5 minutes, he is after her more than her after him...
(They're good as room mates for hours at a time)
He keeps drumming even after she stops.
Tried the shark-tank thing for 48hrs before an attempt..
I have concerns of her becoming stressed...
in his case I think he is a stressed T because of his situation..
Me, I'm a tad frustrated... any ideas or critique welcome, as before...

I think the her being ready idea was on target, just not ready for him..

as of now they're simply neighbors in their respective homes..

thanks all.....
