My Scolopendra "Mai Chau" was found dead this afternoon. It was about 10" and was def wild caught, so I am not knowing if it was near the end of its life already when I bought it. My other Vietnamese pedes seem just fine so I am not so concerned about husbandry being a factor. Actually I just want to know if Pedes show any signs prior to death of old age they are on the way out. This speciemen was eating like a pig and def well hydrated.

sometimes they slow down before they stop, sometimes they die completely unexpected

i personally suspect that they trip from Vietnam to the western world is too much for a fair percentage of the centipedes.

10" could easily indicate it died of old age complications
