I finally got my new camera!!! It's almost my birthday and my dad won't be here to celebrate it so he got me an early b-day present. I'm still trying to figure out how to use it, the auto focus is pretty frisky. Well anyway, here is my daring Pseudocreobotra ocellata hanging out on a venus fly trap.

Thats beautiful. Interesting plant to keep an insect on. You would think it would eat the mantis food. Anyways very pretty mantis.

Oh haha, I don't keep it on there all the time. Just for the picture, I was very careful not to let it go into the leaves.

Nice Vtraps, mantis and camera! What kind of camera is it? Mines little, fits in my pocket but it's done a good job for it's size. Yeah the autofocus thing can be a little rough when there's a deep background.

It's just a regular Nikon Coolpix digital camera :) It has 8.0 megapixels and 12GB. No special macro lens here ;)

Ha, that's awesome! It looks like the trap's pursuing the little mantid. {D

(I'm almost torn -- my screen name is accurate, but I keep carnivorous plants!)
