 I have found a ton of these little guys all over my house. They resemble the black widow body style, but they are a dark red to brown-ish color with a white chevron down the abdomen. I've never even thought twice about true spiders, but this one has a cool pattern. The pics aren't the greatest in quality (that explains my lengthy detailed description), but I kinda want to know if they are related to the 'widow', are they non-venomous, WHAT ARE THEY??????

It's Steatoda triangulosa!
They're in the same family as the widows (Theridiidae), but completely harmless.

I need to look into this family

I definitely need to look into this family... I was sitting on top of Hawk Mountain last November when a tiny (just around 1/4") spider with that same shape climbed onto my thumb. It was mainly white but had a yellow and orange pattern. I lifted my hand closer to my face to get a better look. It then bit me and jumped off. I have had a swollen place on that thumb now for over 3 months. Some days it hurts... Oh well, it sure was a pretty little thing and I would love to id it.

Sounds like you were actually bit by a young widow.

well well well, look what i found, on a quick serach, all in the sites words:

Question:Are all spiders venomous?

The majority of spiders possess venom. A notable exception is the family Uloboridae comprising a couple of hundred species that lack venom glands entirely. Although most spiders have venom, the vast majority are not poisonous to humans. Of the 38,000+ species that are known, perhaps a couple dozen or so have venom powerful enough to kill a human or cause serious health problems.

there ya have it, not all spiders are venemous ;)
