I don't see how an animal that almost never sees light, would require it for some reason. I mean if a nocturnal spider only comes out after dark, its whole life revolves around avoiding light.
I see alot of people say this but with the exception of a very few species I see ( have seen) many of my Ts either completly out during the day or for alot of fossorial species at the mouth of there burrow..

I can say that the one I never saw out or near the mouth of the burrow was P.muticus.. I can't really think of any others
Allthough rare even some of the haplos I have had would be seen during the day close to the entrance of there burrow..

I think a diurnal cycle is beneficial..
