I was watching a Pepsis wasp (is that correct?) drag a paralyzed wolf spider across the floor (whom I scared away and killed the spider so it would not suffer such a gruesome death. The wasp returned and took the corpse.), in my gazebo when a very odd thing happened. I felt something hit my leg, and saw that it was two adult "daddy long legs" arachnids locked together. They were wrestling with each other, and then quickly separated and ran their separate ways. They looked identical in size and color, which made me wonder if they were mating and are a species that displays no sexual dimorphism, or were two rivals fighting over mating or territory. On the other hand, I've seen them cohabitate in clusters and seem to have no territory boundaries. This just made me somewhat curious about what I saw. Any suggestions?
