Hey guys, i just lost my Damon Variegatus due to a mushroom infestation ( i guess )... I didnt think that the mushrooms could have affected the thing but within a day, two mushrooms grew over three inches!!!! The day after, my amblypygid was dead, do you guys think it could have been caused by the mushrooms?!?! I've heard that it wouldnt hurt those inverts since they live in an environment with so much humidity that they should usually live with some mushrooms... What do you guys think?!?!

Wow thats good new I must say I was pondering the death by shrooms and the best I could come up with is while it may be a damp species are you sure those mushrooms are from their local.. theres many different types and toxcisity levels.

i think it would have to consume some....or spores would fall on its prey etc.

Now i'm mostly concerned about the spores problem... i just hope my other tanks dont get infested with mushrooms, which would be really annoying... Have you guys ever had mushroom problems?!?!

had them, but did not fidn them to be a problem. It depends on the species... I have grown oyster mushrooms in my phelsuma cages on purpous, they can add a great touch!

what species are they? ;) :embarrassed:
