Cyrtopholis portoricae slings for beginner?

I like them a lot. Colorful spiders are not necessary to me. I also like that they are small. However the 1/4 inch sling size is a bit worrisome. I guess I would need to feed them fruit flies. Hmmm.......

The dealer you mentioned offers the C. portoricae as a freebie choice if you spend $20, so I would get that and another species you're interested in.

I am still researching. I have decided to look for sub/adults or adults as opposed to slings. This of course reduces my choices.

Slings that small can be problematic. Feeders aren't always available for something that small where I live so I have to raise my own and they are quite fragile at that size. Of course you may be perfectly fine with something that size. One can never predict what will happen, but one can stack the deck so to speak. I would look around for something bigger and more well established if I were you. Just remember, weighing the odds ahead of time may save you heartache and hassle later.
