I am looking at possibly getting a either c. elegans or c. ritae. I havent been able to find much info on either species, and am looking for some help. what im looking for is enclosure setup, temperment, life span, etc..

this would be my fourth T. I am currently keeping g. rosea, a. avic, and a. metallica.

again any help with this species will be appreciated.

(I know most board members don't like wikipedia, but I made this article [also, doesn't mean it's correct] after keeping them and researching their habitat/climate. It's just extremely basic info to start off)

I might look for one or two more links, but I would like to mention that you should try the search function in the top right corner on the horizontal menu. There should be plenty of info right on these boards.

my female C. ritae set up is similar to that of an OBT. I gave it enough substrate to burrow and plenty of height to make webbing. She has opted to burrow along the sides a little and make webbing hole similar to what an OBT might do.

They are interesting little T's. They do this hyper speed hair kick and don't give much warning there-after that they are going to attack. They're also very skittish and become nervous and a guarded by the smallest of movement. I keep mine at 80% humidity, small bottle cap cap with rocks and pus small droplets in once a week along near her webbing for added moisture to simulate rain, etc. They do have an interesting temperament.
