I’m trying to culture fruit flies at home for my very small t slings and jumpers. What’s a good recipe for media for them? I’ve looked up media recipes but I’m pretty sure they’re tailored to frogs. Do I need to add all of those ingredients to cultures for spiders? What recipe do you use?

Even small / tiny slings will not hesitate to scavenge large meals.

If I were you, I would just feed pre killed mealworm / roach nymph instead of fruit fly.

But Jumpers on the other hand, hmm...

That’s why I put this at the end, but are you certain?

As far as I’m aware, they don’t eat prey that doesn’t move. I tried to feed one of mine prekilled and it wouldn’t take it. They’re highly driven by movement. And I wasn’t trying to be rude or anything, I’m just saying I do need to have fruit flies regardless. Most of my Ts are big enough to at least take small crickets, some eat prekilled but I still would like to culture flies for my jumpers. That thread also suggests they had to starve them to get them to eat the dead prey...
