i just bought a reptile which i eally don't know what' the name. (how stupid i am to buy a pet i don't know!) anyway, they said it was a crocodile lizard. it looks like a skink with a little bit larger head & lots of up turned scales at the back like a croc...anyone have an idea?

by the way, it' about 6 inches. the white spots on its scales are just white sand from the cage of the pet shop...anyone knows how to take care of it? i appreciate your reply. thanks!!!

I haven't heard of a crocodile skink unless referring to a type of gecko but I HAVE dealt with alligator lizards but they generally have smooth scales. Sorry I couldn't be more help...However I did check out some stuff on the internet and it seems that what most people with pics consider a crocodile skink is not what you have.

Well the top one is a fence runner and the bottom is a bark lizard. They do have slightly upturned scales and it might be a species in the same genus if thy look so similar :?

If you mean the pics posted by Reptist I have to disagree, the top pics there are of a much larger lizard than a tribbie

A clearer picture would probably help as well:) Otherwise we're just guessing as to what your wee beastie might be.

Try googling Gidgee skink. Common names suck so its best to try all the variations though I'm not sure this is one.
