Im doing a univerity assignment on "a case study on the conservation of a named species"

Ive been looking on the red list and this came about my attention..

http://www.thebts.co.uk/The_Rameshwaram_Parachute Spider.html

Looking at the pictures it looked like a pokie to me .. then a link into the article it gives this..

http://www.iucnredlist.org/apps/redlist/details/63563/0

Am i right in thinking that the P.metallica is this Rameshwaram parachute spider?

[edit] Or is the Poecilotheria hanumavilasumica completely different, just in the same family? [edit]

I was thinking of looking into the conservation of it for my work, (even if there is next to nothing around) but i want to get my species straight first.

You already answered your own question ;)
haha i thought so, i read into it a little bit more and realised i was being silly.
Turns out i cant use that species in my assignment anyway, i need something that has protective laws and that doesn't. I have no idea what species to do!

Um... I'm pretty sure many Poecilotheria have protective laws. Check out Brachypelma, they're on CITES II.

Yeah i've done a similar assignment on Brachypelma smithi earlier in the year. I've decided on the P.formosa see how that turns out.
