give him more time, he'll eat it. most animals go through an adjustment period when they get put in a new environment. if you hold out on crickets, he'll get hungry, and he'll eat the crested gecko food.

when i first got mine and they were SMALL (like 2 weeks old tops), and i couldnt get one to eat anything it seemed... i got some crested gecko diet, and some banana flavored baby food.

mixed the two together, and a little bit of water, and she went to it immediately!

i dont like to feed baby food that often, but i use crested gecko diet laced baby food as a treat at least once a month. my geckos always gorge themselves on it and get little pot bellies after eating it :)

I heard baby food can be bad for them so only give it as a treat like tabor does :)

I've also frequently seen it said that cresteds often ARE eating the prepared diets, but people tend to give them large amounts at a time and they sometimes don't eat enough that we easily notice some of the food is gone.

Yeah I totally agree. They don't eat a ton. Just feed them enough to eat - adjust the amount.

I thought the same thing, that they weren't eating the premade diet, they did eat some crickets, though. I must have mixed too much, because I mixed less the following night, I didn't want to waste it, and the next morning most of it was gone. I read 1 tsp of food should be offered per gecko.
