Does anyone have any experience with these? I've heard them mentioned as black velvet tarantulas. I hear they are primaily from malaysia. All comments welcome.

P.S. Anyone know of breeders stocking these regularly?

Edit : I am also curious about the Selenocosmia sp. if anyone has any exp with them.

Usually, it doesn't take much to ship tarantulas since they are small a light weight. It only cost about $20 to shipp a nine year old B. smithi and G. rosea from New York to northern California.

Most of the online "Stores" I've seen tend to only ship via fedex/ups which generally is around $40-50. Private individuals are thankfully cheaper.

Ahh cool, Do you know any good local breeders?
Unfortunately I don't. I'm getting my T from Reptist Exotics though. Check westseattleinverts.com. They have a couple Chilean Roses and one Red Knee at the pet shop in Kingston
