hahaha....man peoplereally dog his snake out bad.....here in missouri we have some that are alot darker(not sure the species for sure) but honestly i pick them up bare handed all he time! been bit twice....and nothing really happened other than a little sweat and nasua...also i wouldnt say their "mellow" either but there definatly not to aggressive in my experience, id say deffensive is more the word....haha as i a kid my dad used to freak out because id go into the woods and come back with 20 or 30 of them....now that i look back id say that was pretty dangerous...also those are some great pics being through glass and all...2 snake i wouldnt mess with here in missouri though are 1. cotton mouth or aka "water moccison" their very aggressive and will chase you down the other is the pygmy rattlesnake....very shy but very bad bite....very small and is the biggest problem because 90% of the time they bite and you dont see them....(rattle is very faint sounding if at all) either way copperheads are awsome snake...nice to see some CB specimen now a days.

Haha I love the water moccasins. They're just so angry all the time. I pulled one out a pile of rocks once. I had only saw the tail end and from where I was standing it looked like a prairie king so I said what the heck and pulled it out. Definitely NOT a prairie king. She was a big gravid female from the looks of it and none to happy about me disturbing her. I was standing right by a creek so as soon as she whipped around I went "Oops." and gently tossed her in the water.
