Some coincidence huh? The internet is a strange, strange thing.:)
I didn't even see the jumper page before...
Again, AMAZING work!

Those Malaysian Huntsman pics are the most awesome pics for that species that I found on the whole net! That spider looks so plush and fuzzy its gorgeous. Definitely an head turner. Wonder if they can be had in the states? Very nice spider and I bet its quick as lightning.

I've been keeping an eye out for any more info about those guys (Darn you Stefan for posting those pics:) ! Anyone ever see these available in the US?)

Anyways...I found this site this morning. There are just a few spider pics but wow!

Take a look at those crab spiders!

Hi Lindsey,

thanks for that kind remark!

However i have to admit that i wasn´t all too thrilled about that particular species, just too calm and "nice" for my taste and not even a member of the family i´m most interested in (ctenids).
To make a long story short: i gave my last specimen away to a buddy of mine who´s as specialized in sparassids as i´m in ctenids. Now i don´t have any specimens of this species and won´t get any new.

To say goodbye, i got permission by Gordon to post one last pic, so enjoy and here we go:

Greetings,

Stefan

Hi Stefan, thanks for the photo! :)

Hmmm. Too calm and nice huh? Sounds good to me{D ! (Considering that its a huntsman I was expecting it to be some sort of fast spider demon.) Hopefully, I'll eventually get some of these guys and see for myself!

Thanks!

Hi Lindsey,

yeah, indeed i take this species for a "perfect-pet" spider: they´re nice looking, fast growing, reaching a considerably size, are easy to maintain, and have a really calm temper.
What more is the "usual" spider keeper asking for?

There´s nothing wrong with this species, just not too my taste. I´m right now doing maintenance duties on my creepies, just got finished with the P. nigriventers, nearly every single specimen gave me a thread display, that´s more to my liking.
Sure, i´ve got my moments where i come to like more calm spiders, but for those times the Ancylometes do the job quite well.

However, guess Gordon will take good care of her, he´s as mad about Sparassids as i´m with Ctenids. {D
I still have good commo with the importer of this species so if there should happen to be a male with one of the future imports, i´ll give Gordon a hint, to be able to start to breed this beauties...

Greetings,

Stefan
