cool beetle and dragonfly

this guy was kinda cool. had a very hard body.
anyone know what it is?

this guy was up on the side of the building. kinda hard to get pics of in the dark but i think i managed. any clue what he is?

The beetle is some kind of weevil, possibly a vine weevil.

Dragonfly is a Tramea lacerata or Black Saddlebag, family Libellulidae. I did a lot of insect collecting with dragonflies earlier this year.
