This Pic is one of our A. seemanis. She started to emerge from her burrow and stopped for a few minutes at the entrance. Her burrow is about 5-6 inches deep and it is where she spends most of her time. If you look closely you can see where the flash glinted off her eyes.

A sling is a baby tarantula.:)

I have one of these guys, if you give them too much
substrate you will never see them, unless they are hungry.

Mine is in about 3 inches of peat, with a half pot for hide that
it uses as a roof for it's burrow. If you look inside, the T has
cleared all of the dirt out of the burrow. You can see the bottom
of the critter keeper. He/she just hangs out in the entrance
when it's time to eat:) I'll try to get a picture later.

I can't wait until mine gets that big, it is only about 2 inches now.

Wow mine has about 7" of substrate and she has a half log hide that she stays in but she doesnt burrow at all. So i see her all the time she usually sits half way in the burrow with her head sticking out. She is an eating machine, if a cricket walks by her home, wack, no more cricket. I love her she is awesome.

peace
