i bought a pendant from a local trift shop, where they sell accessories, well i found likely about 200 of necklaces w/ pendants shaped as hearts, those pendants contain some cool looking buggers... some are orange, some are blue, green, yellowish, w/ dots of red or orange or blue (got plenty of variations). the head looks like a giant water bug, but all of the legs are 2 segmented so it looks like an assassins legs, then it got a probocis...

it is shinny and very vivid, i cant take pics because the webcam cant see up to the colorful bug, only on the surface of the pendant.

:D

-edit

i forgot to ask... anyone can ID that? :)

hmm... can't really tell by description, but possibly a species of Buprestidae (their heads are kind of like giant water bugs and they are very vivid in color with lots of variations...).

and it really shapes like a waterbug w/o the tail on the end.

very shinny also on the underparts, the segments on the legs are also colorful...
