Cleaning roach containers with coco fiber substrate?

I have several highly active roach colonies on coconut fiber and some of the longer-lived colonies have begun accumulating unsanitary amounts of frass mixed into the fiber. I can't just discard the substrate because they're burrowing roaches and even if I dug around and grabbed them individually, I could easily miss babies. Given that, there anything I can do to clean them out?

With millipedes people often leave their sub in a bin for a bit to see if there are any babies or eggs they missed (I understand dubias have live young)

Divide and conquer; portion out smaller quantities of a substrate, remove all visible specimens, spread it out and leave it, repeat. I've found that any missed specimens will turn up quite quickly when the substrate is spread out very finely over a broad area, and once they've been removed that substrate can be tossed out and replaced with fresh stuff.

Thanks,
