Another photo from the invertebrates community on Livejournal. Brings back memories of the first time I saw (and heard) cicadas a few years ago on my first visit to New York. Magnificent insects!

HA!!!! We have an awfull lot of them here......they sure make quite a noise..... Did you know that those thing stay as nymphs for sth like 14 years???

Cicadas for T food???

To all:
do you guys feed these bugs to tarantulas?
we have a lot of those here in greece during summer time and we could save some money if they make good T feeders...

This looks like the exoskeleton of a cicada...BTW they are quite powerfull and maybe be not good for small T's
