any ID or special care info for this cicada?
i have 6 males in a 32 oz cup; is that unacceptable?

Periodical Cicada either 13 or 18 year the adults only live a few weeks. Although the insect itself is 13-18 years old already.
Best to release those boys other wise they will have no chance to fufill their lifes purpose.

these aren't periodical ones. and isn't it 13 and 17-year cicadas?

You're right the periodicals have red eyes and are black, they also are slightly more slender. Not certain of the variety they are but they certainly won't live long in captivity no matter what.

Cicada adult do eat by sucking plant juices, i've never seen them do it while captive though. Best to let them go you got nice pictures anyway.

cicadas look like dragonflies. also did you check your messages pulk. cause I sent the money since tuseday morning.
