pretty crazy...i'd have figured there would be other animals that are more sensative to vibrations, but maybe they just don't exhibit as much of a reaction.

But I have to wonder how soon the snakes' behaviour begins in order for the amount of time for warning... y'know?

Living in CA, we have small ones pretty frequently... 3 in the last 2 weeks or less, under 4.0 usually. I don't care how long I've lived here either... I never get used to them and my cat doesn't get scared until it's shaking the ground under us. That just isn't enough warning for me

Maybe I should've kept my big red girl... Hollywood... the cornsnake. Although, I don't recall her showing any weird behaviour when an earthquake happened. Hmmm.

I heard about this the other day on the news, Seems like a good idea, but it REALLY makes ya wonder how they can determine (not the snakes, but the scientists) that there is a quake comming just by watching the snakes...I'd guess the snakes must hide or something...Seems kinda cool to me~

<EDIT> Other than just watching snakes smash into walls...Seems kinda cool!
