Well, I don't have a female. His sack mate might be female, but she is way too small. And I would prefer to avoid inbreeding, just in case. Once he is fully mature, I will have to find someone with a female for him and send him on his way. Must be someone in the EU, though.

This is probably an indication that most if not all Grammostola and other Chilean native species may soon appear on CITES.

If I could find a male for my porteri, I totally would give it a shot at breeding. I'm aware they aren't easy, but I think the extra effort would be worth it. Like B. hamorii/smithi, I cannot see this hobby without G. porteri/rosea.
