Chia seeds for isopods?

Hi, i was wondering if it would be safe to plant some chia seeds in my isopid tank? Would they eat it and would it be safe? Thankyou

Salvia hispanica commonly known as Chia is a member of the Mint Plants.
As such it shouldn't be harmful imo.
Benneficial remains to be seen.

Just make sure they arent treated. Buying organic seed sold for microgreens might be the safest best :)

If you don't have good airflow and light, my guess is they will etiolate, and eventually rot in the tank. So I wouldn't plant too many at once to avoid a rancid slimy bacteria mat of chia goo hehe

Thankyou! I have some organic chia seeds, and i will plant the separately to make sure they grow good and everything, ill just so a bit to see if my pods will like it. They are pretty antisocial but hoping ill see them more if they notice this.
