Here's a pic from yesterdays breeding efforts. The male bulldozed the female all over the container, she of course fanged out but didn't strike out at him.

nice pics, Art! is that a 6" flowerpot they are in? what would you estimate the male and female's legspan at?

they are Grammastola areostriatum (I may have not spelled that correctly)

Not really, but close.

Grammostola aureostriata is the correct name.

Yes Grammastola auerostriata. Not a huge female, she's 6 inches, I've seen larger. Thanks for the good luck, not an easy species to breed. Doug Wheeler first bred this species about 3 years ago and not many have followed.

That first picture is soooo cool.:D It belongs in the Tarantula Picture Hall of Fame.

Can you resize it, get all of the T's body in it, and re-post it?
BTW, It would make a Awesome T-shirt. Hint, Hint. ATS, in Carlsbad.. I'd buy one...
