Hi,

About a year ago I bought this centipede at an expo. It was sold to me as a Scolopendra madagascariensis, but I have my doubts.
It's about 14cm/5.5inch now.

From these Pictures not exactly to see, but looks like Subspinipes, also the pedeling looks like typical Subspinipes coloration.
This is a Hawaiian S. subspinipes.
In europe animals from the USA are very rare, so I would have a doubt it's Hawaiian. If sold as Scolopendra madagascariensis I would guess it's a Subspinipes from Madagascar.

that's a S. subspinipes. Orange body, blue head and tips are dead giveaways for subspinipes pedelings.

Scolopendra madagascarensis is subspinipes. I guess they are invasive on the island. I don’t think it’s a real species also.

Going by Attems description, madagascarensis isn’t subspinipes, hobby madagascarensis are most likely all mislabeled subspinipes.

Whatever is in the hobby is definitely subspinipes. There’s also antananarivoensis. Where is the description of madagascarensis?

Oh, didn’t realize OP is from Europe.
