Centipede hanging around on the surface

I've had a juvenile S. heros "blotched" for about four months and I've noticed a change in behavior in the last couple of days. Usually it stays underground/in a hide for most of the day, comes out for a little while after 8:00 PM or so and actively moves around its container. Lately, though, it has been on the surface as early as 1:00 PM for prolonged periods of time, not actively foraging, but sort of just laying around in a way that sort of reminds me of a sleeping cat. Yesterday, popping the lid of the enclosure for routine maintenance was enough to "wake it up", although it moved much more slowly than usual afterwards, while today, its leg just twitched when I did the same — I gently blew into the enclosure just to make sure it wasn't on the verge of death and it freaked out and ran like the wind for its hide as expected, which was comforting, but I still wonder if this behavior is indicative of a problem? Any ideas about what it could mean even if it's not really concerning?

If you can, post pictures of the enclosure and the animal itself! What kind of ventilation are you working with? Any recent chemical use/exposure (neighbors' spraying raid, friend's dog's flea medication, painting the walls, etc)? Could be any number of things, or absolutely nothing at all, a photo will help rule some things out!

Should've thought to take a picture when it was on the surface yesterday. Just got home and it's underground now. As far as I could tell, it looked physically normal, but you could definitely know more. Here's the enclosure:

The top has some ventilation holes, as well as holes on the sides towards the top (visible in first photo). I avoided cross-ventilating all the way down because when I did that in its last enclosure, it used the holes as footholds to nearly escape. FWIW, it always seems quite dry and I've never noticed even a little mold.

If relevant, the substrate is almost entirely sand with a bit of gravel. There is a little bit of peat moss mixed into the corner under the water dish. No coconut fiber.

I can't rule out chemical exposure, but I can't think of a particular chemical that it would have been exposed to. Pesticides are possible, but I'm not sure how likely - I sometimes have the window open in the same room, but it opens towards my yard, which is reasonably large and on a street corner (so not very close to anyone else's) & we do not ourselves spray pesticides.

Looks like centepedes favorite place to hide !!! Wish I could afford s heroes . I’ll probably get a tiger 🐯 pede instead someday. Shame I passed on a blue colored pede once what a mistake I still haven’t owned a giant pede.
