Centipede from South Africa id needed

I just got a centipede I need help identifying. The only info I have is this:
Scolopendra spec. RSA BLACK CHERRY
Import from South Africa
Expected final size:
8-10 cm IMG_3549.jpeg IMG_3540.jpeg IMG_3534.jpeg

I got sprayed with a foul smell when rehousing it yesterday, and was quite confused until I read that they are one of the few species of centipedes that can do that. Could anyone point me in the right direction to any literature about this? All i found was statements about them doing it from keepers. Also it didn’t smell like vinegar I would say, more like rotten onions

I had no idea 🤷 pedes could do this , … interesting I’ve never read anything about it. awsome pede ! Wish I lived in the tropics . I’ve seen unusual soil marks were stone pedes live like a white line funky soil . They always have an escape burrow .
