For ME, I vote GBB because I'm a worrier and the C. versicolor takes a little more research and has a little less tolerance for husbandry mistakes. I have both (and a B. smithi too which is just like the B. hamorii) and I've just been keeping just under 2 years. My GBB was my second T and I got my versi about six months later (the B. smithi came in between those two lol).
Regarding hair kicking, my GBB did when it was teeny and I was rehousing. It was pretty hilarious just because it was SO small. That's the only time it's ever done it. The B. smithi gave me some threat postures when it was super tiny, also hilarious, but has never kicked hairs (and hasn't threat postured since itty bitty either).
