It really depends on the size of the sling and the size of the cricket. If the sling is small then you can just do pre-killed prey and let it scavenge it out.

I used to cut crickets in half for small slings, and leave it on the edge of their webbing. They almost always took it.

Some of my smaller slings have gotten cricket drum sticks (pulled cricket legs) or a piece of a cut up mealworm. If it is a very small sling i would prekill to be safe.

My local pet shop also sells crickets from new hatched pinheads all the way up to adults so I'm fortunate enough to be able to feed just about everyone a live cricket.

Haha drum sticks, thats funny. They definitely work for the tiny slings.

Yeah, I used to use them before I switched to mealies and roaches. If you're not sure whether it'll be taken right away or not then just crush the head and leave it on their webbing.
