I came across a Caribbean species and they appear more reddish and active in coloration ,I'm not sure if it was just my impression, does any one keep them together with the Florida species? any major differences?

You should definitely not keep them together. The Caribbean locale version of the this species is parthenogenic, and the Florida version is not. You can see more about this in a search of these forums.

Post some pictures! I have a few that are red I had no clue they were from another locale. I was just under the assumption that it was because they were polymorphic. I had no idea they were capable of parthenogenesis! 20200102_163224.jpg
