I have my ideas but I want to confirm. this was found in texas on my way to achon.

What part of Texas did you find it?
This would indeed be the first question. A pectine count and sex would be a good follow-up.

Although D. lindo and D. whitei are, in part, sympatric, it is possible to differentiate them based on pectine tooth counts [11-15M, 9-13F for D. lindo; 16-20M, 14-18F in D. whitei (Stockwell and Baldwin 2001)].

That thing looks nice an plump, with any luck babies are on the way :}

Good to see such a fine looking specimen originating here in the good old U S of A. :clap:

towards the west

I got it roaming around while while I was out searching at night. it was on the western half of texas. just outside of balmorhea state park. also hound an aphonopelma sp and a solifugid but only one container and this guy won.
