Can P. imperator get overweight?

They will appear to get fat when they are getting ready to molt. It's the new exoskeleton coming up from underneath, the plates on their back will spread and they will stop eating for a week or two before the molt.

But it's still eating... Should I just not feed it for a week or two and see if it loses a lil' bit of weight or what?

Molting is a long process, keep feeding him til he stops eating, then he will molt and be bigger. He has to grow fat to molt, it's the new exoskeleton being formed underneath.

So, you're saying that my lil' girl Roxy, needs to get fat... to initiate a molt? That makes sense. I never thought about that one. Got any tips for when she does start to molt?
