looks like they are second instar already.....

I remember when my c vitts were 2nd instar.. one of the buggers stung me.

You will want to raise the young in a slightly more humid environment. They will desicate on that sand.

Yea definetly put them in small containers, use small pieces of bark so they have something vertical and keep it moist!

I raised mine in baby food jars with potting soil.

that is awesome..i really she pops soon...up until today when i fed my c. marg's they were my fav...

Way to go Andy. If you haven't already, check Brians S "Raising Early Instar Bark Scorpions" thread, works wonders for juvies. Just make sure it's a little humid in there for the young, even if it's a Texas specimen, it would still be chambered in an optimal enviroment in nature.

Lokal, why' C margaritatus your favorite now? 'Cause of this?

that is exactly why. i threw a cricket in there that was twice the size, one of my 2instars pounced on it, and when the cricket jumped again, the marg went with it. my favorite show from a scorpion so far...
