I just opened the container of my Ceratogyrus marshalli female and got a threat posture as always, but something's wrong this time: around the epigynal plate you'll see something that looks like a prolapse, the surrounding setae are wet as well.
I've never experienced something like this in many years, she didn't have this yesterday and since then she hasn't done something exceptional; the enclosure has no decorations that could have caused it, she's not acting differently than usual and she molted a couple weeks ago, so if it's really a prolapse it wasn't caused by a molt problem. Any ideas?

hard to say really, if she's cooperative ( i know not usual from this species ) and you could get her in a glass container and you could get some different angles on it that might help diagnose the issue.

Just from that picture, that doesn't look good... Hoping someone else chimes in with more experience... Though I'd say you should get her off the substrate, I don't think you'd want any to get into that wound.

Yikes, that made my veins feel kind of weird... I hope she can fix it herself somehow. Did you pair her with a male? :?

I'd second getting it off the substrate. Could contaminate the wound. Other than that, I really don't know what else I could suggest. Poor baby... :(

Ohh poor girl.
Maybe you can use Hobo's method to move tarantulas, and put her in a plastic ziploc bag so you can give her a better look.
I use a plastic ziploc bag to examine my slings but none of them are her size.

Good luck with her.
